Let visitors book a time in the chat
Optional: switch it on and visitors pick an open time from your business hours, and you accept it or suggest another time in one tap.
Booking in the chat is optional and off until you switch it on in Settings, under Booking in the chat. Once it's on, when a visitor wants a visit, a quote, a call or an appointment, your chat shows the open times right under its answer. Visitors can also tap Book a time above the message box at any moment.
How it works for your visitor
- They pick what they need (your booking types, for example Free estimate or Call back), then a day and a time.
- They type their name and an email or phone number, and an optional note.
- They tap Request this time and see that the request is sent. If they gave an email, they get one as soon as you confirm.
What you get
- A lead alert email with the time on top, an Accept button, a Suggest another time button and a calendar file (.ics) you can open to add it to your calendar.
- The booking is saved as a lead, so it shows under Leads (with its time and status), in your inbox with the conversation, and in Insights.
Accept or suggest another time
- Accept emails the visitor a confirmation with a calendar file. The time then disappears for every other visitor, so nobody can book it twice.
- Suggest another time shows your open times. Pick one and the visitor gets an email with the new time and a Yes, this time works button. The new time is held for them while they decide.
- If the visitor only left a phone number, there is no email to send, so call them to confirm.
- You can do both from the email or from Leads (tap Accept or suggest).
Settings
Open Settings and find Booking in the chat:
- Let visitors book appointments in the chat: off until you switch it on. While it's off, the chat never shows times or a booking form.
- Booking types: up to 6, like Free estimate, Call back or Consultation.
- Length of each booking: 30 minutes unless you change it.
- Gap between bookings: time kept free before and after an accepted booking.
- How many days ahead: how far ahead visitors can book.
- Blocked dates: holidays or days off. Those days show no times.
Want times you're already busy to disappear on their own? Connect your calendar (optional) in the same card. See Connect your calendar to booking.
Booking in the chat is included in every plan, Free too.
