Every account starts on the Free plan and nothing is charged. You don't need a credit card. When you want more, Upgrade to any paid plan and it starts with a 30 day free trial (see below).

The monthly chat limit (Free and Basic)

New accounts on Free include 50 chats a month, and Basic includes 500 chats a month. A chat is one visitor conversation, counted once however long it is. You can see the count under Plans & billing, and we email you when you've used 80% (40 on Free, 400 on Basic) and when you've used them all.

When the month's chats are used up, your chat keeps working: it greets every new visitor, thanks them and asks for their name and phone number or email, so you still get every lead in your inbox. But the AI won't answer their questions, and you can't reply to or take over chats from your inbox either, until you upgrade or the count starts again on the 1st of the month. Your inbox shows the chats read only, with an Upgrade button. A chat the AI already started answering is never cut off.

Starter and up have no monthly chat limit.

Paid plans

Each paid plan starts with a 30 day free trial:

• Basic: $29.99/month. Everything in Free, plus: 500 chats a month, 2 integrations: website chat + 1 more, 10 knowledge files (PDF, Word, text, CSV), No Assistly badge, Just you (1 sign in)
• Starter: $79/month. Everything in Basic, plus: No monthly chat limit, 3 integrations: website chat + 2 more, 25 knowledge files (PDF, Word, text, CSV), Reads up to 50 pages of your website, Hot lead scoring & qualifying questions, Questions your bot couldn't answer, After hours mode, Export leads to Excel, Saved replies, Your logo, bot name & chat position, You + 2 team members
• Pro: $149/month. Everything in Starter, plus: Unlimited integrations, Unlimited knowledge files, Insights dashboard
• Premium: $299/month. Everything in Pro, plus: Up to 5 websites in one account, Full white label: your name, never ours, Unlimited team members, Priority support
• Extra team members on Starter and up: $19/month each, from the 3rd member

The 30 day free trial

The account admin clicks Upgrade on any paid plan under Plans & billing in the dashboard, then Start free trial. The paid features work right away, and the dashboard shows how many trial days are left.

• No card needed to start. Free for 30 days.
• We'll email you before it ends. 7 days and 3 days before the end we email you to add a card to keep your plan. Online card payment is not open yet, so to keep your plan, reply to that email or write to support@assistlychat.com.
• No card, no charge. When the trial ends without a card, your account goes back to Free automatically. Your chats, leads, settings and bot knowledge all stay saved.
• Switch back anytime. Click Switch to Free on the same page. Paid features lock again and team members can't sign in until you upgrade.
• One trial per account. Switching between paid plans during the trial keeps the same end date.

Only the account admin can change the plan. Team members see the plans but can't switch.

Locked features

Features with a lock in your dashboard need a higher plan. Clicking one shows what it does and which plan includes it:

• Starter: team members, hot lead scoring, questions your bot couldn't answer, after hours mode, export leads to Excel, saved replies, your logo, bot name & chat position, read up to 50 website pages, no monthly chat limit
• Pro: insights dashboard
• Premium: up to 5 websites, full white label

Basic has everything in Free with no badge and 500 chats a month. It's just you (no team members); the advanced features start at Starter.

Everything you use today on Free keeps working.
