Install the chat on Wix
Add your chat code in Wix's Custom Code settings.
- In Assistly, open Widget and click Copy code.
- In your Wix dashboard, open Settings.
- Scroll to Advanced and click Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code.
- Paste your code and give it a name, like "Assistly chat".
- Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages and Load code once.
- Under Place Code in, choose the end of Body option.
- Click Apply, then open your live site and look for the chat bubble.
Wix only allows custom code on a site with a paid Wix plan (Premium) and a connected domain. On a free Wix site you can't add the chat yet. Wix moves its menus from time to time; if you can't find Custom Code, search the Wix help center for "Custom Code".
Wix sometimes loads code after the page, so Check my site may not find your code. Open your site and look for the bubble, then check Widget → Is my chat live? in Assistly.
