Refer & earn: reward customers who bring friends
Your chat gives happy customers a personal link to share. Friends who chat show up as referral leads.
Refer & earn turns happy customers into new ones. Your website chat shows a Refer & earn button, a customer gets a personal link to your website, and every friend who opens it and chats is marked as theirs. It's included in every plan.
Turn it on
- Open Refer & earn in the menu.
- Switch on Show Refer & earn in my website chat.
- Write the reward for the customer who refers, for example $20 off your next service. Add a reward for the friend too if you like, for example 10% off your first visit, and a short line of terms.
- Click Save. The button shows in your chat right away.
What your visitors see
A customer taps Refer & earn at the top of the chat, enters a name and an email or phone, and gets a personal link with a Copy button and one tap sharing by WhatsApp, text or email. The link opens your own website.
When a friend comes in
When a friend opens the link and chats, the conversation shows Referred by with your customer's name. If they leave a phone or email, the lead is tagged too and your lead email says who referred them. The menu shows a count of new referrals.
Giving the reward
Assistly Chat keeps count for you. On Refer & earn you see, for each customer who shares, the link visits, referred chats, leads and friends who became customers. A friend counts as a customer when you accept their booking, mark their lead Won, or click Mark as customer. The reward owed is worked out from the reward you wrote (for example "20% in year 1, then 5% in years 2 to 6" or "$25"); if it can't be read, set the amount in the simple fields under it. You give the reward yourself, the way you already do business, then click Mark paid. Nothing is charged or paid out automatically.
Good to know
* Your assistant may mention the program when a visitor asks about deals or is clearly happy with the help. It never brings it up during an urgent problem. * A customer who uses their own link isn't counted as a referral. * The link remembers the friend for 30 days on their device, so it still counts if they come back later.
