The free website audit

The free website audit reads the public pages of a website and tells you what a new visitor can and can't find. It is free, there is no sign up, and it takes under a minute. Open it at assistlychat.com/free-audit, or use the version for cleaning companies at /free-audit/cleaning-companies.

Run an audit

1. Type the website address, for example yourbusiness.com.
2. If you like, choose your business type and type your city. Both are optional; they help the top fixes fit your business.
3. Click Run my free audit. We read the home page and up to 3 more pages, such as contact, services and pricing.

What the audit checks

• Answers, fast: a chat on the website, a contact form, a phone number (and whether it is a tap to call link) and an email address.
• A clear offer: a list of services, prices or a way to ask for a quote, a way to book, the area you serve and your hours.
• Trust: reviews or testimonials, and any guarantee or insurance, quoted exactly as the website states it.
• The basics: the mobile viewport tag, the page title, the search description and the speed of our own fetch.

Every check is labelled Found, Not found or Couldn't check. "Not found" means we didn't see it on the pages we read, not that the business doesn't offer it. If a site builds its text with JavaScript, we say Couldn't check instead of guessing.

Your top fixes

Under the score you get 3 to 5 top fixes in plain words, most important first. The AI writes them only from the findings, and our server checks every fix before you see it: it must speak to you as the owner, use only facts from the audit and never promise results. If the AI is unavailable, the fixes come from our own rules for each finding.

Share the result

Each audit gets its own share link, so you can send it to your web designer or your team. The shared page is read only and isn't listed in search engines. The link ends after 30 days, and Turn off this link under the result ends it at once (it works from the browser that ran the audit).

Limits

To keep the audit fast and fair, each network can run a few audits a day. We only read public pages, follow the website's robots.txt for the pages we find, and never log in, fill in forms or click buttons.
