Sign in & security
Email codes, passkeys, authenticator apps, Google sign in, and changing your email or business name.
Signing in
Sign in with your email (or company name) and password.
Email codes
We email you a 6 digit code:
- once, when you create your account, to confirm your email
- when you sign in on a new device
- every 20th sign in
Tick Remember this device for 30 days to skip the code on your own computer or phone. Codes expire after 10 minutes. If one doesn't arrive, click Send a new code and check your spam folder.
Passkeys (fingerprint or Face ID)
In Settings → Sign in & security, click Add a passkey. Next time, sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of a password. Your fingerprint never leaves your phone or computer; we never see it.
Authenticator app
In the same place you can turn on an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or 1Password). You then enter a code from the app at every sign in. Save the backup codes we show you: each one works once if you lose your phone.
When the sign in screen shows Continue with Google, you can sign up or sign in with your Google account instead of a password.
Forgot your password?
On the sign in screen click Forgot password? and we'll email you a reset link.
Lost phone or shared computer?
Settings → Sign-in & security → Sign out other devices signs you out everywhere else. Changing your password does the same.
Change your sign in email
The admin can change the account's sign in email (team members keep the email they were invited with).
- Open Settings → Sign in & security and click Change next to your email.
- Type the new email and your current password, then click Send code.
- We email a 6 digit code to the new address. Type it in and click Confirm.
Nothing changes until the code is entered. Then we send a notice to your old address, so you'd know if someone else tried this. From then on, sign in codes and password links go to the new address. Lead alerts keep going where they went before; change them under Settings → Lead alert email if you want.
Business name
The admin can rename the business under Settings → Business name. It's the name visitors see at the top of your chat, and the name your bot uses. If you sign in with your company name instead of your email, keep using the original name: it's shown under the box and never changes.
