Connect your calendar to booking

Optional: paste your calendar's private iCal link and the times you're busy disappear from the times your chat offers.

Connecting your calendar is optional, and it works together with booking in the chat (switch on Let visitors book appointments in the chat first). When it's connected, any time you're already busy in your own calendar disappears from the times your chat offers, so visitors only see times you're really free.

What we read, and what visitors see

  • We read only when you're busy: the start and end of each event, including all day events and repeating events.
  • Event names, places, notes and guests are never shown to visitors and are not saved.
  • Your calendar is read again about every 12 minutes, and once more at the moment someone books, so nobody can book a time that just became busy.

Find your calendar's private link

Google Calendar

  1. On a computer, open Google Calendar, click the gear and choose Settings.
  2. On the left, under Settings for my calendars, click your calendar.
  3. Scroll to Integrate calendar and copy the Secret address in iCal format.

Outlook

  1. In Outlook on the web, open Settings, then Calendar, then Shared calendars.
  2. Under Publish a calendar, pick your calendar and Can view when I'm busy, then click Publish.
  3. Copy the ICS link (Publish calendar ICS link).

Apple Calendar (iCloud)

1. On iCloud.com, or in the Calendar app on a Mac, open the sharing options next to your calendar.
  2. Turn on Public Calendar.
  3. Copy the link. It starts with webcal:// and that's fine to paste.

Connect it

  1. Open Settings and find Booking in the chat.
  2. Under Connect your calendar, paste the link and tap Connect calendar.
  3. You'll see Connected, last synced with the time, and how many busy times are hidden from your chat.

Keep this link private: anyone who has it can see your calendar. We store it encrypted and use it only to read busy times.

It counts as one integration

Connecting your calendar uses 1 of your integrations, the same as WhatsApp or Zapier and Make (see Integrations). If none are left, the dashboard shows the price of an extra one before anything is added, and nothing is added without your OK. Disconnect frees it right away.

If the link stops working

If we can't read your calendar, settings shows We couldn't read this link and booking keeps working with your normal open times. Copy a fresh link from your calendar and tap Change link.
