See who is on your site now and say hi
Home lists who is on your website right now: the page, time on site and where they came from. Say hi sends one of them a hello in their chat window.
Open Home in the menu. On your site now lists the people on your website at this moment, as long as they have a page open with your chat on it. The list updates by itself every few seconds.
What you see for each visitor
- The page they are on (just the page, never what follows a question mark in the web address), and the page's title.
- Time on site: how long this visit has lasted so far.
- Source: where the visit came from, for example Google, Facebook or another website, from the link that brought them. "Direct visit" means no link was recorded.
- New or Returning: Returning means the same browser was on your site before.
- Country, when the network the visitor uses tells us, and whether they are on a phone or a computer.
- In a chat when they have already written to you.
Say hi
Press Say hi next to a visitor, change the hello if you like, and press Send. It shows up in their chat window as a message from you, with your name. The AI keeps answering after it, so you don't have to stay. Their reply lands in your Inbox like any other chat. A hello only counts toward your monthly chats once the visitor writes back. You can say hi to the same visitor once every 10 minutes. If someone on your team has taken over that visitor's chat, it stays with them.
Privacy
Visitors are not named and no IP address is ever shown or stored. A visitor is a random id their browser makes for that visit. Someone who leaves drops off the list within about a minute and a half. Our own test visits (pages opened with ?nt=1) and search engine robots never show up.
On your site now is open on every plan. Say hi is part of the paid plans (Starter and up), and the 30 day free trial includes it.
