Share a chat link and QR code

Your chat can also live on its own page at your own address, like assistlychat.com/chat/joes-plumbing. Anyone who opens the link chats with your bot right away, and you don't need to paste any code into a website first. It is on every plan.

Where to use it

• Your Instagram, TikTok or Facebook bio link
• Your Google Business Profile, as your website or your booking link
• Your email signature and your WhatsApp status
• Printed: the QR code on flyers, business cards, your van, a yard sign or your front desk

Turn it on

1. Open Widget and find Chat link and QR code.
2. Check the address. Use letters, numbers and single hyphens. If you published a help center, we suggest the same address.
3. Add a headline and a short line under it if you like. Leave them empty to use your business name.
4. Switch on Turn on my chat link and click Save chat link.
5. Click Copy link to share it, Open page to see it, or Download QR code for a print size picture.

Nothing is public until you switch it on. Switch it off any time and the page is gone right away (visitors get a page not found). Your settings stay saved for next time.

What visitors see

• Your business name, your brand color and your logo (on plans that show a logo in the chat).
• Your own chat, open and ready, the same bot and the same answers as on your website.
• On plans that show a Powered by Assistly link in the chat, it shows here too.

Chats from the page land in your inbox like any other chat, and your Results show Chat link as their source when no other source is known. The page is never listed on Google.

Change the address later

The QR code always points to your current address. If you change the address, the old link stops working, so download and print the new QR code.
